Well, I've been gone far too long and I'm now back with some new adventures to report and a lot of great pictures to share. I hope everyone enjoys them.
I'm currently back working full time in Powell, TN and have been since June 2009. But, I've had the good fortune to work for a couple of folks that I want to thank for allowing me to work, yet take take off to fulfill my travel urges. Bobby Roberts (Owner of NOVA) and Mic Lanz (CEO) have been very understanding and I can't thank them enough for their patience and flexibility. Thanks, guys.
I think I'll begin this first post with some pictures taken during a fall 2009 trip to the Maritime Provinces of Canada and the coast of New England with my very good friend and sometimes traveling companion, Donna Adams. This was a really great trip for me and it allowed Donna to be able to say that she has now visited all 48 of the lower US states as well as all of the Canadian provinces. I think her old Buick with over 308,000 deserved to be retired and she is now the proud owner of a 2008 Trailblazer. I have to wonder how many miles she will manage to put on it. She and I have had some fun times together and shared a lot of adventures. I want to thank her as well for making me feel that it's OK to enjoy yourself and have fun after you have reached retirement age. I hope we can share a few more memories in the future.
I will get around to posting some pictures from my most recent trip that I took with my youngest son, Jon. We had the opportunity to spend 3 weeks traveling around the state of Alaska in May 2010. We saw some amazing sights and did a few things that not even I can believe we pulled off. But, I'll save that for later.
One last comment. I have two great sons, a wonderful daughter-in-law and 4 grand-puppies. I also have a supportive family; my Mother, my sister and her family, and my brother and his family. I really am one lucky guy!!!!
Well, I guess I need to stop the rhetoric and post a few pictures.
Unfortunately my WIFI is too slow, at this time, to allow me to upload any pictures. I guess I'll have to try later.
